Well this is not a fashion statement, but rather a man that has lost his belt. HIs jeans are a size or too large. The good thing is that he maintain s a level of hope. HIs worldly goods in a bag, his jeans clean and a leather coat to keep him worm if he doesn't find shelter.

Your images allow us to reflect upon and have empathy with another human being’s struggle. They also reveal a common humanity, allowing viewers to see a bit of themselves in other human beings, half a world away.

"a level of hope" – yes, i can see it in the look he's giving the camera: surprised, alsmost a little "childlike-happy" that someone is interested in taking his picture. his serious eyes, though, carry the weight of the world… greetings, sabine.
