Sikhs Celebration

A few weeks ago had in Lisbon a very interesting observation, a Sunday morning. A few steps away from hotel in well known Parque Eduardo VII, the Sikh community in Portugal was celebranting one of their holy festival with the participation of a Guru or Priest comming from India.
Must say it was a great finding as I could "observe" friendship, religious identification and integration at their receiving Country, this case Portugal, tolerance and learned that share is one of their aims, so they gave fruits, water, limonades, and indian specialities to anyone passing by despite their nationality, color or age. Was really touching to see them entering sightseeing buses and providing goodies to the tourists.
More they were at one of the Lisbon Landmarks which I found to be not a symbol of possession but a get together with the Portuguese people and their symbols like the National flag. In many European Countries seen many times people from different ethnic groups with the county of origin flags in a way of disrespect to the guest Country, here even children wave the Portuguese flag and a freedom atmosphere was achieved and transmited. Had a great day here.
Start a series of pictures from this event.
