Salisbury

http://www.pub-explorer.com/search.htm

The Salisbury is a Victorian pub that was originally a gin palace. It opened in 1892 and today is decorated in an Art Nouveau style with the original bar and mirrors. There are five identical brass statues of the Roman goddess 'Diane' carrying her bow and arrow above the bar. The pub has also been used as a location in the films Krays, Victim and Schindler's List. We've been visited by many famous actors including Vivian Lee, Terrance Stamp and Lawrence Olivia. Being next door to the Allbury Theatre we attract many theatre goers, tourists and local people, with us always priding ourselves on good service. We will impress you with the range of beers available including a huge number of the best quality real ales. Why not come during the day for a wholesome traditional English meal which can be complemented by a choice of wines and coffees. There are many reasons to visit The Salisbury, we hope to see you here very soon.
