Sächsische Postsäule
August der Starke ließ in Sachsen Postdistanzsäulen errichten. Die hatten die Aufgabe anzugeben, nicht wann, sondern wie lange eine Postkutsche bis zum Ziel benötigt. An so einer Haltestelle war stets eine Gaststätte. Man wusste ja nicht, wann die Postkutsche eintrifft.
