And where are The Coasters when we need them most?

Last April I was at the Kennedy Center for a symphony concert. As I enjoyed the Spring evening on the promenade before the concert, my
eye was attracted to this pleasantly plump duck, who had stationed herself on the rim of one of the large fountain pools outside the Grand Foyer. Guess she was feeling like a "duck out of water," for that's exactly what she was, as the fountains were apparently under repair, their pools dry.

I posted what I thought at the time was the best image of those I'd shot. (*)

I had occasion to go back to my original images from that evening, and this one just kinda quacked out and
hit my whimsy bone. If you know my bemused views toward cell phone users for whom the entire world
is now what we once called a "phone booth," you'll understand why I so enjoyed re-discovering this one.
