Promethea Moth - 2
Most Butterflies and Moths present a totally different picture when viewed
from above than when viewed from below.. The "eyes" on the underside
or the upper side of their wings simulate the eyes of much larger species,
most liekely to repel possible predators such as birds and larger insects.
