How you managed this Jeni I don't know,I assume you were on your belly in the grass but even then to capture it coming towards you like this is superb.
The focus on the eyes is excellent,many compliments.

…and a great time for finding nuts, too! SO MANY HAZELNUTS this year! it's a squirrel's paradise!! so funny, how this one seems to be a fox in disguise! amazing capture in mid-jump!! they are such cute little daredevils! love their character! AS CURIOUS AS THE COME… "hazelnut, you're MINE!" this one's eyes say! ; )) greetings, sabine. p.s.: last winter we had one in our garden that took to feasting on the fat balls instead of looking for more digestible food. he'd stuff himself for minutes in a row, then climb up the fire tree with the chopped off top, sit on it and fall gradually asleep with his paws folded neatly across his bulging tummy! true, i swear!!
