Noctilucent clouds / Leuchtende Nachtwolken
Leuchtende Nachtwolken (auch bekannt als NLCs) sieht man nur in bestimmten Breitengraden und auch nur dann, wenn die Sonne ca 6...15 Grad unter dem Horizont ist. Sie sind in ca 80km Höhe und brechen dann das Sonnenlicht und werden somit sichtbar. Auch in Norddeutschland kann man diese schönen Wolken bewundern.

Noctilucent clouds (NLCs) are only visible in certain latitudes and only when the sun is about 6...15 degrees below the horizon. In a height of 80km, they break the sunlight and become so visible. In Europe they are visible also in the Netherlands, Northern Germany, Denmark, etc.
