I have passed this pic before and return now to place comment.Without something to scale the pic I don't know how monstrous the seed is, it looks like it could bite though.
I actually like this picture's composition. It is a simple layout but the complex fir cone? structure just kept me looking beyond the brief flash by.
There are technicality issues that I could go for regarding fucus, aperture, etc. etc., but I find those things in my own pictures and still post them.
I tried a few things with this picture, including solarising it, and I like some of the results. I also tried differing crops, but this original one carries it the best.
