this subspecies is the smallest of the 3 migratory subspecies. Its breeding range is across arctic Canada.... but we also have as number of them breeding rig'ht here in Vancouver's Reifel Bird Sanctuary ...

Gut, dass auch der Schnabel lang genug ist, um bis zum Boden zu reichen. Es gefällt mir ausnehmend gut, dass hier nur die Beine sowie Hals und Kopf im Bild zu sehen sind, alles ein bisschen "verknotet" ;-). Die Schattenbeine sind wahrscheinlich nochmal ein Stück länger ...LG Doris
