In a niche in the gallery, a model of a Neolithic village (5500-3500 BC), based on archaeological discoveries in the Wieliczka area, is placed. Apart from farming and keeping domestic animals, the Neolithic people also produced salt. In the era, many centuries before the discovery of rock salt, man knew how to evaporate salt from brine on the surface.
