the wicked witch of wichester won the first prize in the wholy year of 1185, this was around the time when people slowly stopped looking at the sky to ask for odin and thor's opinion and naturally this made the respective gentlemen pretty frustrated. odin and thor were just on the way out after teaming up for a crisis meeting, agreeing that thor could borrow odin's horse (the one with 8 legs) and wagon, to drive around and make a bit of ragnarok, to open the sky and people's eyes, so to speak. and so thor did, he drove out with a great vengeance and furious anger so big that even that piece of chicken zevs crawled up in afrodite's lap, shaking like a wet poodle. unfortunately for thor, this happened to take place at the same day as the yearly cloudcatching competition which at that time was an event still kept unknown for the nordic gods. and so it happened that the wicked witch of wichester was a mean motherfucker in cloudcatching (she had obviously been practicing a whole year when nobody was watching) and she managed to catch all the clouds from gatwick to shetland. now, today, we all know what happened. the sad but inevitable fall of the great nordic empire. as mr beckmann precisely point out, in the back here, you can see a piece of odin, as a matter of fact it's his ear, which he ravaging tore off, claiming he'd never listen to the biatch thor anymore, and threw it so far that it landed here, as you can see, on a beach in denmark.
now that was the tale about the wicked witch from gatwick and the fallen gods. this would all be lost today, but thanks to some fine, idealistic, young men, we can in some years again look up to the sky and smiling wave to thor, odin and all of their friends! wave bye-bye to sesame street, here's:

cloudcatching - a famous, unofficial yearly competition among wizards and witches in the area of gatwick around the 12th century. the winner is the one who can catch so many clouds that odin and thor breaks through the sky and fall down in the sea around the shetland islands.
