Lake Caroline, Early Autumn
On this late afternoon in mid-October, the trees and other vegetation around Lake Caroline in Meadowlark Botanical Gardens present an inviting mix of summer greens and autumn reds and golds. The view, from the Great Lawn, was shot on Wednesday with my "new" old (East German) Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f/2 lens on the Canon EOS 40D.
Meadowlark Gardens has been a favorite local destination for photography, primarily till now in Springtime.(*) With autumn looking promising this year, after all the summer rains, I'm looking forward to capturing lots more vivid colors.
