The shadows were what originally inspired me to take the shot. The way the building was vertically disected added a drama and feeling that would not be there if the building was in full light. It takes a fairly standard architectural image and gives it the ominous edge, the contrast between light and dark, good and evil which compliments the way the building is decked out in so many gargoyles.
