Harlem-Scape No.1 - Awaiting the Downtown Local at 125th St Station
On this platform above Broadway in Harlem, on a wintry afternoon,
a passenger awaits a downtown-bound train at the 125th Street station.
The station serves the No. 1 line, the Broadway Seventh Avenue Local, of the New York City Subway system.
After running three more blocks on this elevated structure, downtown trains will plunge underground
and stay beneath the streets of Manhattan, all the way to South Ferry at the lower tip of the island.
