Half Dome cables

To reach the top of Half Dome you have to climb this steep face. The cables are about 275 yards in length. For protection of your hands it is adviced to wear some gloves when descending. Looking down when going up is a special experience..;-))))

When I see this picture I remember of a great time in Yosemite Valley with fantastic climbs and wonderful, claea nature.

Auf den ersten Blick habe ich die Menschen überhaupt nicht wahrgenommen, war so fasziniert von der Felsform. Sieht grandios aus!

It's not as scary as it seems, just at least keep one hand attached to the cables at all times and you'll be fine.

Rush Hour at the Halfdome, never seen. Great foto, but we prefer to stay at the bottom.

das hab ich nicht gewußt, daß man so auf den Half Dome hinaufkommen kann, kannte bislang nur Bilder von der anderen Seite

@Roland, I have seen a picture with so many people going up and coming down it looked like the Tokyo subway;-))
Rush hour, you had to wait a while before you could go up.
When I was there it not that crowded.

@Stefan, I started from Glacier point at 6.30 am to HD and returning to the Valley at 8.45 pm , about 28 km of breathtaking scenery
