von Reykjavik aus erreicht man diese beeindruckenden Geysire in ca. 1,5 h Busfahrt
die Geysire erstrecken sich über 3 km², die höchste Fontäne (ca. aller 10 Minuten) erreicht eine Höhe von 70-80 m; die Temperatur beträgt bis zu 200 °C und in deiner Tiefe von 1.000 m sind es immer noch 150 °C
