Fourty Five in Sepia.

D50 with Nikon 50mm f/1.8 and Hoya +4 Close-Up Filter. As a twist, I thought I'd take the focus OFF the barrel and sight. I like it, and that's what counts.

A weapon is only a tool. In the wrong hands, it can kill.
In the right hands, it can save lives.
These days, we live in a "sick world". Between the
criminals, and terrorists, out there, I wouldn't feel safe on the streets, if I didn't carry a weapon.
Imagine yourself in a situation where you were facing a suicide bomber, and if you didn't have a gun, you'd be history. At least if you carried a gun, you would have a chance of neutralizing that "sicko", before he/she attempted to blow you up sky-high.
It's too bad that many countries today are disarming their law-abiding citizens, from owning guns, to protect themselves, examples are Great Britain, and Austrailia.
We here in the United States, can still own guns, in many states, thanks to the second amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the right to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Also we have a very powerful lobby, the NRA (National Rifle Association).which fights for our rights in the government, to make sure we can keep those rights, of owning firearms.
Anyway, Brad, the photo is good. :)

45 cal. pistol bullet does easy enough to knock down or stun back a person in a single shot.

Ingo, everybody taking this shot would have focussed on the top, and not the screw. That's why I chose not to. To me it would have been just another very ordinary shot had I focussed on the barrel and sight. I thought I'd try to show a different angle for a change. This was the desired result. Thanks everyone, for commenting.

Only in a world where the nature of mankind was pure would a lack of weapons be a good thing. :-)
    Happy New Year.
