Forsythia is a deciduous shrub native to eastern Asia.
In early spring bright yellow flowers are produced before the leaves.

The flowers of this popular garden plant have a very special and generally unknown characteristic.
They are able to produce not only nectar but also lactose which is very rarely established in other natural sources except milk from mammals !

German name : Forsythie (auch Goldflieder oder Goldglöckchen genannt)
Latin name : Forsythia
