For Lotus Eaters
In the \"Odyssey\", an epic poem attributed to Homer there is a description of a beautiful land of lotus eaters. The inhabitants of this land made every new-comer eat lotus, the fruit of which caused a happy dreamy state, forgetfulness of the past and a distaste for activity, so that the one who has eaten lotus forgot his native country and remained in the Lotus land for ever.
