Evening in Porteau Cove
on our way back from Brackendale as always a stop in Porteau Cove on Howe Sound, a fjord of the Pacific Ocean ...
Porteau Cove is located on the Howe Sound fjord, 38 km north of Vancouver on the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Other nearby communities include Brackendale and Lions Bay. The park is 50 hectares in size, and offers picnicing, camping, swimming, windsurfing, and a boat launch. Porteau Cove is a very popular area for scuba diving, with a series of artificial reefs including two sunken vessels. (thank you, Wikipedia)

now who would have thought that winter could look so gently forgiving! what a lovely view of the fjord! the pacific in its most domestic version and being entirely true to its tranquil name! ; ) my favorite detail is the spot on the silhouetted tree, where the sun is brushing against the bark! without him, the pale-yellow sun, the image would look almost monochromic! hugs, sabine.Pascal Viyer 22/02/2014 13:28
