I think it must be a Camelia -Kamelie (Camellia japonica) - we call them ... - it belongs to the "Theaceae" - they have a lot of shapes and different colours.
We have in Stuttgart very old plants from the last king here - now they are little trees... and they are more than 160 years old - they collected more then 100 different ones
