Demolition Derby 9 - Bring down the curtain

This is the final image for my photo essay on the demolition derby. The race is over and the drivers are awaiting the tow trucks to come and tow them out of the arena.

I know.... all the other pictures were in color but this one for me works best in B&W. It is also my favorite of the group.

The anticlimax of the event does the last car standing get an award or just their car lives to fight another day ...... ? .:-)) Harold

"low down and dirty" – the moment after catharsis! a sobering one for those directly involved in the event – drivers, pit crew, audience –, an emotional one for us viewers, to see them all drained of energy and… DRIVE! ; ) greetings, sabine.

My favourite to Ken........and it works perfectly in b/w.
I especially like that we now see the crowds of people who came to watch the action......and the guy sat on top of his vehicle.....perfect.
A very good series, thanks for sharing.
