Death of the Rainforest 1
Rainforest devastation has not only happened in the tropics.
The area where I live in Canada has some of the most productive agricultural land in the World.
Two hundred years ago it was a vast tract of temperate rain forest; European settlers moved in and gradually cleared the trees to create large open fields.
