Chiu Gompa (4,570m) beside Lake Manasarovar
This Gompa is located beside the Manasarovar lake (4,550m). Its the most notable which has been built right onto a steep hill. It looks as if it has been carved right out of the rock.rld.
The Gompa is located on the northern westside of the Lake Manasarovar.
Between Lake Manasarovar and the western Ravan\s Lake a highway in good condition goes to ancient Khoja temple, just some steps to the Nepalese border pass.
My picture is taken in May 2004 with a NIKON CoolPix 5000.
