On stage the pupils performed parts of a "Wu Opera" which is said to be the predecessor of the "Peking Opera". The story is difficult to understand for most western cultures, but the costumes are fantastic!

I can imagine a very dramatic performance with theirexpressions and stern masks ... fabulous these colourful
costumes, and it must have been quite an experience to
see and hear them !!
