Chemical Venice

This view is from the top of an abandoned power plant in Porto Marghera, the biggest industrial harbour in Italy, just next Venice. The long iron building is the rolling mill of SAVA Aluminium Works. On the left a huge silo and behind, the Enel oil power plant. On the right, behind the rolling mill, the torches of the petrochemical plant of Enichem.

Very good picture. I always feel uncomfortable, when I see chemical plants - "chemical industry" for me is automatically connected with "pollution of the environment, pollution of the people who live arond such plants, destroying the nature". Your picture shows these emotions very well, with the dark clouds on the horizon and the smoking chimneys.
Have a good time and greets from Germany

    Very, very nice.
This might motivate even me to go to a touristy place like Venice ;-)
