Cave temple in Ajanta | Cave no. 26
The Ajanta Caves are a collection of about 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves located near Jalgaon in the Aurangabad district in Maharashtra. Some of the caves date back to as early as 2nd century before BCE. However, for very long time they were covered by jungle until they were accidentally discovered by a British officer on a hunting party.
