Carneval in the Rhineland
During this time things are different and are planed as “before” or “after” Carneval. I made these snapshots in my small home town and in Eschweiler, the town with the highest density of epidemic plague called “Virus Carnevalitis” of Germany! Round about 6500 infected people participate in the great Carneval parade on “Rose Monday” (Eschweiler has a population of only about 50000). This Carneval parade is, after Cologne and Mainz, the third largest in whole Germany! Unfortunately I only had an hour of time…
