Boy brings new lighted butter lamps to the Gompa
The butter lamps help to focus the mind and aid meditation. "If you wish for sublime realization, offer hundreds of lights."
Unfortunately butter lamps often are the cause of fatal fire disasters like the fire 1989 in Tengboche, Kumbu area Nepal, or the fire disaster at the Tigers Nest Monastery in Bhutan 1998, or last June in Bhutan Wangdue Phodrang.

Lieber Matthias, danke für Deinen Beitrag, das Bild hatte ich in einer Serie geschossen und das gerade mit der Bewegungsunschärfe, wo nur das Gesicht scharf gezeichnet ist, hatte mir am besten gefallen. Gruß WolfgangMatthias Krug-Bamberg 25/10/2012 13:34
