Die Besonderheit der S-Bahn war, dass sie auch in Westberlin von der DDR betrieben wurde.

... das war auch der Grund, dass die "Staatsbahn der DDR" den unbeliebten Namen Deutsche Reichsbahn behalten musste. Die Alliierten legten 1945 fest, dass eben die DR in allen Sektoren den Eisenbahnbetrieb führen soll. Hätte man einen anderen Namen gewählt, hätte die Gefahr bestanden, dass man die Betriebsrechte in Berlin (West) verliert.Es grüßt der Bernd
