Another Minolta Moment

Yes, I still love film for some of my work.

This is my trusty little Minolta 7SII compact rangefinder.

The model was introduced in 1977, but I was all wrapped up
in SLRs at the time. So, I only just caught up with this little gem
(and some other nice examples of the compact rangefinder type
of camera) last year. Better late than not ;-)

Definitely a keeper, this handsome little guy has a lovely 40mm f/1.7 Rokkor lens
and its compact form factor is often a nice change from the SLR experience.

P.S. I suppose it’s oddly appropriate that, while the photo was shot digitally, it was done through some nice, solid film-era glass, my newly acquired Tamron SP-Series 60-300 mm manual focus lens, used in its macro range and mounted to my EOS-40D via a Tamron Adaptall-2 EOS mount.
Can you tell I love living in both worlds? ;-)

    Hi Steve,
here You present a fantastic Foto of a nice Camera from the last Century in a wonderful Light.
It remembers me to my old Filmdays...i shot a roll of film...and then i had to wait for the result... a hard time...and the results sometimes were disappointed.
Your fine Picture brings me down to the bottom...it was a good time...but we became older and now feel good how simply Fotografica goes today.
Thank You for showing and best Regards from Germany,
    Hans-Gerd
