Androctonus australis ist eine Skorpionart aus der Familie der Buthidae. Die Art ist über weite Teile Nordafrikas und Südasiens verbreitet. Androctonus australis zählt zu den giftigsten Skorpionen überhaupt und verursacht jährlich mehrere Todesfälle. Das Gift ist ähnlich stark wie das einer Schwarzen Mamba.
