Al Khalili shabab/ Hebron youth

Only a few people are out on the streets these days/ evenings in Al Khalil/ Hebron, a friend who lives there told me. Citiciens fear to be attacked or shoot dead by far right Israeli settlers and military forces for claimed stabbings and claimed crime.
Entering and leaving Hebron is limited by restrictions through flying checkpoints which are surrounding the city. Heavy armed soldiers give an impression as if they are on war- they look so rediculous with their black balaclava (storm masks) on their faces and holding M16´s in front of them- towards people. Guided by fear, paranoia, manipulation and control, a meal the Israeli administration is serving their society daily.

When I took a walk with a friend through the city, I met lovely people on the streets. Traders, women, families, boys who played street soccer. Having a tea in a barbier shop called "Salon Berlin" watching a soccer play between Hebron and Ramallah with them. Met curious youth in the mood to chat, invited by them to warm our hands on their fireplaces on the street.
Al Khalili/ Hebron people have a great soul and hospitality which cannot be erased by occupation.
