The biggest mosque in Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Al-Farooq Omar Bin Al-Khatab mosque and Centre, built in 1986, expanded in 2003 and rebuilt in 2011 by Mr. Khalaf Ahmad Al-Habtoor.

The mosque has four 70-meter-tall minarets and a central dome that is 30 metres high and supported by 21 other half and full domes and it resembles the blue mosque in Istanbul.

It has a prayer capacity of 2,300 moslems (2,000 men and 300 women). The 2,000 capacity worship hall is 4,200 square metres in size, while the entire mosque site is 8,700 square metres, making it the biggest mosque in Dubai.

This beautiful mosque located in Al-Safa area is now a touristic attraction and is also open for non-moslems.
