About me
Jens Schommer was born on November 12, 1968 in Bernkastel-Kues on the Moselle (Germany).
After his business education, he moved to Cologne to study. After studying communications at the Westdeutsche Akademie für Kommunikation in Cologne, he came to photography more intensively. There he developed a concept for the event 'DAS BILDFORUM' in Herten / Westphalia - a four-week large-scale event of the company AGFA on all topics of photography.
Through various professional stations in Cologne (advertising agencies, media agency, comedy club), he moved to Berlin. There he worked in the gallery futura in Berlin Friedenau.
From 2007, he exhibited his photographs for the first time as part of group exhibitions in Berlin (Galerie LAINE-ART, Atelier CROSS ART, The Ballery).
His photos were published u. a. in the SIEGESSÄULE, blu, BOX Cologne, 20 minutes Cologne, in the book ,My gay eye', as well as online u. a. GETFAB Online Magazine, BOX MAGAZINE Cologne, Dark Exit Webzine, QUEER.DE, BLF-Homepage, SIEGESSÄULE online, blu online, Classic meets Fetish, KAISERENGEL (Heroin Kids Clothing), AHA-Berlin, Artconnect, GFDK Society Friends of Arts, THE CLUBMAG, Freezine, Berliner Fenster (BVG), Community ERBEN Wine, Bild der Frau, Homepage Dagmar Frederic, Homepage Hauptstadttharfe Simonetta Ginelli.
His first solo photo exhibition was shown in 2018 at Café Berio in Berlin Schöneberg.
