North Wales Llangollen
Llangollen is a very picturesque little town in North Wales not very far away from Chester. Among the several pleasant spots to visit, I think, the most interesting and the most touching is the old railway station, long ago stopped functioning but still being preserved as a priceless antique miniature by the continious care of the local people who, in regulated shifts, undertake work and look after it in order to be tidy and open to public. it's really a must!...

beautiful indeed! and captured from this slightly elevated vantage point, it looks even more like a precious playground, a petting zoo ; ) for train and engine lovers of all ages! so neat, how one can walk around the ancient machines and wagons, peek through the windows and give their veteran shells a sympathetic pat… greetings, sabine. p.s.: the iconic british symbol of the red telephone box is a nice detail, too! a dinosaur itself, it should be included in the display. future generations might not even know what a phone booth is… ; )

The details and tones in this scene are superb and all topped off with that super cloudy sky.
It seems that there are people working here, probabley doing restoration work on these old trains and coahes.

a place where time has stood still, and your image of the rail yard fascinating with the old trains still around and the old telephone booth on the street ... and I did miss this when coming through the town 14 years ago :-(((
