That Manic Smile - A Coney Island Impression
Just gotta love Scream Zone Guy's manic (or is it demonic?) smile above the gates to
the closed-for-the-season Luna Park amusement park at Coney Island, Brooklyn, NYC.
Perhaps he's been using the winter lull to brush up on his Dante, for his
smile seems to be saying "Abandon all stomach content, ye who enter here." ;-)
For now, the empty structures of those scary rides behind the closed gates can only suggest
the delighted screams that will ring out from above when the park reopens in Spring.
Shot on an afternoon visit last December, the photo makes its first appearance here tonight.
