It looks nice, right? However, this land is not supposed to be flooded, but you will remember the heavy weather conditions a few weeks ago in the Midwest. This is the rest of it down the Mississippi Valley, some miles northbound of Cairo, Illinois.

Es sieht so friedlich aus, aber den Menschen haben die Ueberschwemmungen doch ziehmlich zugesetzt. Vor drei Wochen ist es auch in Ruidoso, New Mexico zu grossen Ueberschwemmungen gekommen. Es wurden Bruecken und 500 Haeuser zerzoehrt und Menschen mussten mit Hubschraubern gerettet werden. Bei uns in Cloudcroft ist G.s.D. nichts passiert.
