"Cafe Gambrinus". A very famous and quite" distingue" cafe in Piazza Plebiscito di Napoli facing the Imperial Palace. Founded in 1860 by Vincenzo Apurro but numerous eminent contemporary artists, as Luca Postiglione, Pierro Scoretta, Vincenzo Volpe etc, have contributed for its superb Art Nouveau interiors that evoke the spirit of Belle Epoque. Gabrielle d'annunzio also frequented this cafe. Among the many items of Art that eyes can enjoy around, taste has also its share with delicious espresso and a rich variety of ice creams.
Do you want my humble opinion? Yes, for the charm but I had a better espresso elsewhere....

Like so often these places offer historic charme but not what you would want to expect regarding service and quality despite sky high prices. Nevertheless a good idea for making a photo series. Well done, Alexander.

Meraviglioso il contesto storico-artistico del locale ritratto.
Senza contare le delizie che vi vengono servite e che purtroppo in fotografia non si possono ancora assaporare.... :-))
Un'ottima introduzione alla Napoli-chic che però anche nei contesti più decadenti non perde mai il suo fascino e quella sua certa nobile eleganza.
