European Cornel

The astrological spring has begun and the cornels are in full expansion everywhere and show their finest outfit.

The European cornel, also known as cornelian cherry, is a large shrub or small deciduous tree.

In early spring, small bright yellow flowers open all along the bare stems.
A wonderful display and very useful for early foraging insects.

Dutch name : Gele kornoelje
German name : Kornelkirsche
Latin name : Cornus mas

Die Blumen kommen gut. Ein Bild, daß mir wirklich gefällt. Auch die Präsentation ist 1 A. Hier liegt hingegen schon wieder 10 cm Schnee. Wann wird das mal aufhören.

A very pretty photo. Wonderful work.
The Spring equinox has come. I left Auckland late in the afternoon on the 20th. You would appreciate that about midnight the plane crossed the equator and international date line and I started the 20th of March over again.
