Blessing at the Pagerwesi ceremony
The blessing includes a Pagerwesi ceremony where holy water is poured on the worshippers for purification, and the person performing the ceremony will chant mantras in ancient Sanskrit and include prayer and offerings. The water is significant because it represent the flow of energy. The ceremony also include:
Rice being placed on your forehead for success and good fortune
Hands being waved to honor the memory of your ancestors
Pieces of thread being placed on the body to represent strength
Couples in the ceremony feeding each other small amounts of food to signify a prosperous and joyful future together
