The Bond of Existence

To stand amongst the ice. You hear the cracking, the moaning, and feel its chill surround you and enter your body. YOu feel a slight warm current and see a vail of vapor, or mist which is created from the warmth, It holds a visual line then vanishes , only to come back and repeat the warming process the causes the ice to melt. Its a strange connection, but you realize that once again, you are directly connected to the climate change and the effect. It's kind of like electricity traveling within a conductor and breathing air. You can't help but to process the moment then and after. I'm still reflecting. Today when people complain how hot it is, and the heat takes lives of dear ones. I now think of the ice melting and imagine a planets surface too hot that either we will survive by evolving or be replaced as the time line of evolution continues to redefine life. If we did come from the sea millions of years ago., and we are now finding living species that thrive in water temperatures which would boil a meal or intake carbon dioxide like we intake oxygen. YOu begin to wonder what might walk the earth in a million years or less as we die off. BUt for now I see us no different as ants scampering over a picnic cloth enjoying the crumbs before the the picnic cloth is taken away.

We, here in Europe, get the impression that you are amonsgt a regrettably small share of Americans to see things this way. Not that Europe is a shining example of climate protection but it is probably lightyears ahaed compared to US. Now huge colonies of ants from India, Pakistan, China and Africa go for the cake, not for the crumps. Who is going to tell a chinese mid-class family head "sorry, you cant impossibly buy a car, because we did that before you and our SUV simply need some more fuel than your silly kind-of-car. Well and consider if you really need to visit Rome? Ya know, flying is really bad for the climate. And, could you please turn off the air condition?".

    Oh. Great series BTW.
