"The vines come up from the earth, they are living, they find the dolls, moss collects within them with veins from the earth. They kind of give each doll a spirit, part human, and part a spirit from the earth as a silent voice. I'm sure you felt it:, he smiled. I was starting to reflect on walking up the stairs . I stopped at the gate with all the pierced dolls on it. I had time to think

"I want to show you something", he said. Before he rose I was still with an image of a doll with cobwebs.

I think your low angle makes this a visually intriguing photo. Composition is well done as are your tonal values.

there he is, the lord of the dolls. or is he their puppet? love the elfin mischief on his face and the worm's-eye view from which the shot was taken: a man with both feet firmly rooted on the ground, just like the hoofed feet of his stool. a kitchen interior perfectly straight and in order. no chaos anywhere in sight. or so it seems… yet he has this strange, instinctive rapport with the uncanny, the vibrations in the air, the essential messy things of life going on in the humus below his feet. most people can't feel it, or strive hard not to feel it. what he seeks, they flee. but he feels drawn to it: the lingering, the growing, the taking possession, the devouring, the decomposing, the looking into a mirror and making a connection… – – just random thoughts inspired by browsing through your "doll-man series"… greetings, sabine.
