I can't remember if i cut the ropes because it seemed to me a better composition that way or if i simply did not pay attention in the moment i was taking the pic... already a while that i took that shot.

Wenn Du nicht so schnell an uns vorbei gedüst wärst, wäre mir der Wagen wohl nicht aufgefallen... aber so dachte ich... boa... das ist ja unverschämt und auch noch die FC-Webadresse hinten drauf... *schmunzel*
Und dann fiel er mir eben wieder an der Snack Bar in Halle 7 (nichtganzsicherbin) auf. Ich sah nur den vorderen Teil und dachte mir, ich wette, daß ist der FC Mazda... :-))) Und... törööö.. er war es. Hab mich gefühlt wie ein Paparazzi... hab ich jetzt rechtliche Konsequenzen zu erwarten *grins* ?
Aber hast schon recht.... hättest ihn wenigstens waschen können, wenn Du in der Öffentlichkeit unterwegs bist. Paparazzis gibt's überall. :-))))))))))))

certainly beautiful photography jobs executed by

same time I am extremely happy to see a large number
of photographs of very high quality. I but still have

My problem is, I was looking for a meal photo, a
romantic dinner of a loving couple. You know, the
couple are looking to each other's eyes, they smile
and they look really happy. I was hoping to find the
photo with a sea or a living city scene at the back.

Thanks for that b/w suggestion - I had not even considered it without the colour. I converted it to b/w earlier and I actually think it works quite well...The only thing which I am not sure about is the fact that it is an optimistic message and perhaps b/w kills that?!?

Das Bild wurde schlichtweg gedreht. Es war eher eine zufällige Sache, denn es wurde falsch eingescannt und da sah ich erst, wie mich das Foto in dieser Perspektive (und besonders mit dem Licht auf dem Gesicht) irgendwie an ein Unterwasserbild und damit an das Gedicht "Ophelia" von Georg Heym erinnerte (ich weiß nicht, ob Du es kennst, es ist (lass mich nicht lügen, aber ich glaube) ein Gedicht aus der Romantik, in dem eine tote Frau beschrieben wird, die in einem Flussbett liegt.Owohl es teils sehr grausam und abscheulich klingt (Ratten nisten in ihren Haaren etc.), hat es doch etwas sehr Schönes. Im Grunde geht es um die Ästhetik des Hässlichen.).
Dass man es sieht, dass es tatsächlich nicht im Liegen fotografiert wurde, war mir klar, machte mir aber nichts aus. Vielleicht kennst Du es selber, dass viele Dinge einfach schöner aussehen, wenn man den Kopf neigt (zum Beispiel, wenn man mit dem Auto durch eine Allee fährt und dabei den Kopf zur Seite neigt (als Beifahrer natürlich ;-)), das sieht auerordentlich hübsch aus. Oder wenn man auf einer Schaukel sitzt und sich hinten rüberbeugt, um alles "auf dem Kopf" zu sehen (obwohl ich bezweifele, dass Du das in letzter Zeit mal getan hast ;-)).)
Vieles sieht so viel schöner aus. Vielleicht ist auch einfach die ungewohnte Blickrichtung der Grund, warum man (ich?) es als schöner empfindet, weil man es einfach bewusster wahrnimmt. Das weiß ich nun nicht, ist aber auch eigetlich egal. Solange die Wirkung nicht nachlässt :-)

I don't mind your comment about a good party, there were a lot of people who were thinking the same. But it showed me how important the content of a picture can be. To me a picture isn't about being beautifull; but it should tell you something. Altough estetic pictures can often be worth looking at.

The eyes look like edited because I adjusted separately the RGB channels, removing simply in this way all the red from the white, but it wasn't intentional.

Thanks for the comments. My photos were mailny taen around Ancoats, an area of Manchester that is currently targetted for regeneration. It used to be a busy part of town with many old cotton mills and a large italian community.

beim erneuten blick in deine galerie bleibt mir wieder die spucke weg.

Die 80er habe ich aktiv mit Westernreiten verbracht und mein Traum ist schon Mexico.
So eine Fiesta mit Pferden und Mariachimusik, =:-))) <waaahhh !!!> bekomme schon bei dem Gedanken Gänsehaut ....
Fotografisch bin ich auf dem Weg, irgendwo, hinter Dir ...

habe mich sehr über deine Anmerkung gefreut. Nach dem ich mir jetzt viele deiner Bilder angesehen habe muss ich sagen mir steht noch ein weiter Weg bevor. Insgeheim wünsche ich mir ein bischen weniger Hemmungen einfach auf den Auslöser zu drücken. Ich bewundere dein Auge für die Situation.

deine bilder finde ich einfach genial! ich komme selbst aus mexiko und finde deine mexikobilder sehr interessant, ich weiss ganz genau was du meinst wenn du diese bilder machst, was man fühlt wenn man sieht wie die menschen dort leben. man darf aber auch nicht sagen in mexiko leben alle unter armut, ich kenne viele leute hier in europa die nur solche bilder aus mexiko kennen und die haben nur dieses bild aus mexiko im kopf...ich weiss das ist die realität...man darf aber nicht vergessen mexiko ( wie ganz lateinamerika) ist ein entwicklungsland und das wird sich in den nächsten jahren auch nicht ändern. man muss aber ganz deutlich sagen, die menschen dort leben mit weniger manchmal viel glücklicher als menschen in hoch entwickelten länder...ich weiss nicht wieso...aber die vergessen nie was lächeln heisst...und bedeutet!

Danke fuer Deine freundlichen Worte. Der Ton ist ja manchmal recht rau hier. Ich finde diese endlose Penthouse wannebe Fotografiererei nimmt etwas ueberhand. Da muss immer mal was anderes her, und wenn ich meinen eigene haesslichen Bauch ins Bild halten muss.

was macht ihr denn in El Paso drei Jahre? *neugier*
wie ist Deine Entscheidung nun eigentlich ausgefallen, EOS 10D oder D100? interessiert mich mal. schwanke auch zwischen 300D und D100. was mich an der D100 stört ist, daß die nur aber 200 ASA aufwärts geht. Wieso haben die digitalen keine Empfindlichkeiten im Bereich 50 oder 25? Hast Du da vielleicht ne Ahnung?

...deine 'Menschenbilder' sind immer berührend und man 'nimmt Teil'... ich bewundere dich für dieses Einfühlungsvermögen...
Ich mag deine Sichtweise...
wie man sieht, hast du dich auf menschenfotografie spezialisiert. ein grosses thema. nicht sehr einfach, unattraktive ( will nicht sagen haessliche ) oder attraktive menschen interessant und mitten im leben darzustellen. fotos die nicht gestellt sind.
es sehr schwer umzusetzten. gelingt auch nicht jedem und immer, aber was du hier ausgestellt hast begeistert mich sehr. eine super umsetztung eines grossen und komlizierten thema's.
eine kritik muss ich noch los werden; warum hast du das profil dieses 17 jaehrigen jungen den du als missglueckt ausgestellt hast, wieder geloescht. war sehr entaeuscht das es nach einpaar tagen nicht mehr da war. es war einfach ein wunderbares bild. auch wenn du diesen jungen kennst und das bild ihn nicht so wiederspiegelt wie du ihn begegnet bist, hast du vieleicht bei einem witzbold die "inner schale " dargestellt.konnte damals aber noch keine anmerkung schreiben, da ich noch nicht in der fc war.
schade, war deine entscheidung und war richtig fuer dich.

auch ich habe mir zum wiederholten Male Deine Bilder angesehen und freue mich über jedes neue Bild, dass Du einstellst. Zum einen mag ich den Ausdruck der Bilder bzw. der auf den Bildern dargestellten Menschen. Zum anderen finde ich es sehr gut, dass die Bilder nicht "gestellt" sind. Zwar setzten sich die Leute in Pose, aber es ist kein künstliches Arrangement, sondern eher ein kurzes Anhalten der Zeit und eine Momentaufnahme derselben.

vielen lieben dank für dein lob. :) das mit der schärfe .... die digicam die ich benutze, hat leider kaum funktionen, die ich manuell einstellen kann .... aber es ist das einzige was ich mir leisten kann :( ... bei besuch z.b. konnte ich die makrofunktion nicht benutzen, denn dafür war es schon zu dunkel, da im makromodus der blitz nicht funktioniert .... und im zoom aus freier hand .... nuja ...

Kompliment. Deine USA-Fotos sind hervorragend, die Texte dazu mindestens genauso gut. Zusammen bieten sie einen perfekten Einblick, den man als Tourist nie bekommen würde. Meistens bin ich so sprachlos, dass ich gar nicht weiss, was ich schreiben soll. Deshalb hier ein allumfassendes Lob :-))

mann, da hast du's vielleicht gut! 3 jahre amerika, ein traum! da hast du ja genügend zeit, um dir den genuss einer überquerung von "the bridge" zu fuss zu gönnen. aber denk daran, zieh bequeme schuhe an, denn der weg ist lang und mit dem taxi zurückfahren gilt nicht! wir wünschen dir und deiner jungen familie jetzt schon viel spass und vergiss nicht, uns fc mässig auf dem laufenden zu halten!

Euch, vorallem Deiner Frau, wünsche ich natürlich alles Gute für die bevorstehende Geburt am 22.06. und danach eine wunderschöne Zeit mit Eurem Sprössling. Eins kann ich Dir aber jetzt schon veraten...das Gefühl das erste Mal das Baby im Arm zu halten ist wirklich gigantisch und unbeschreiblich!

das was du dir hier alles wünschst, wirst du sicher auch bekommen, denn ich sprech da aus erfahrung, bin auch nen fotokücken und hab hier schon viel gelernt. werde auf deine bilder meine meinung schreiben , so wie ich an deiner auch interessiert bin auf meine bilder , ich fotografiere vieles, immer wieder neue themen , an den ich mich versuche.

I have thought about dividing it up but I think that would take a more expensive membership, and as of right now I am still deciding whether to stay on here or move somewhere else.I also just wanted to re-state that I do know that this is a fun based web site, a community to share photos, and I guess I just got carried away when what I thought was a beautiful piece of work got shut down so absolutely. Hi Dirk...thanks for taking the time and having a look on my pic... Actually I did not have to crop the ropes.... I can't remember if i cut the ropes because it seemed to me a better composition that way or if i simply did not pay attention in the moment i was taking the pic... already a while that i took that shot.

Hi Dirk, Thank you for your input for my pic I think the problem is the shutter release, as i varied the exposure and the iso and always a tripod for night pics. You are right the pic does tilt a bit i thought i had corrected it but i dont think quite enough. I would love to shoot pics in RAW but dont know how to use the program i have. Wenn Du nicht so schnell an uns vorbei gedüst wärst, wäre mir der Wagen wohl nicht aufgefallen... aber so dachte ich... boa... das ist ja unverschämt und auch noch die FC-Webadresse hinten drauf... *schmunzel*
Und dann fiel er mir eben wieder an der Snack Bar in Halle 7 (nichtganzsicherbin) auf. Ich sah nur den vorderen Teil und dachte mir, ich wette, daß ist der FC Mazda... :-))) Und... törööö.. er war es. Hab mich gefühlt wie ein Paparazzi... hab ich jetzt rechtliche Konsequenzen zu erwarten *grins* ?
Aber hast schon recht.... hättest ihn wenigstens waschen können, wenn Du in der Öffentlichkeit unterwegs bist. Paparazzis gibt's überall. :-))))))))))))

Hi Dirk,Thanks for that b/w suggestion - I had not even considered it without the colour. I converted it to b/w earlier and I actually think it works quite well...The only thing which I am not sure about is the fact that it is an optimistic message and perhaps b/w kills that?!?

Danke für Deinen Kommentar, Dirk.Das Bild wurde schlichtweg gedreht. Es war eher eine zufällige Sache, denn es wurde falsch eingescannt und da sah ich erst, wie mich das Foto in dieser Perspektive (und besonders mit dem Licht auf dem Gesicht) irgendwie an ein Unterwasserbild und damit an das Gedicht "Ophelia" von Georg Heym erinnerte (ich weiß nicht, ob Du es kennst, es ist (lass mich nicht lügen, aber ich glaube) ein Gedicht aus der Romantik, in dem eine tote Frau beschrieben wird, die in einem Flussbett liegt.Owohl es teils sehr grausam und abscheulich klingt (Ratten nisten in ihren Haaren etc.), hat es doch etwas sehr Schönes. Im Grunde geht es um die Ästhetik des Hässlichen.).
Dass man es sieht, dass es tatsächlich nicht im Liegen fotografiert wurde, war mir klar, machte mir aber nichts aus. Vielleicht kennst Du es selber, dass viele Dinge einfach schöner aussehen, wenn man den Kopf neigt (zum Beispiel, wenn man mit dem Auto durch eine Allee fährt und dabei den Kopf zur Seite neigt (als Beifahrer natürlich ;-)), das sieht auerordentlich hübsch aus. Oder wenn man auf einer Schaukel sitzt und sich hinten rüberbeugt, um alles "auf dem Kopf" zu sehen (obwohl ich bezweifele, dass Du das in letzter Zeit mal getan hast ;-)).)
Vieles sieht so viel schöner aus. Vielleicht ist auch einfach die ungewohnte Blickrichtung der Grund, warum man (ich?) es als schöner empfindet, weil man es einfach bewusster wahrnimmt. Das weiß ich nun nicht, ist aber auch eigetlich egal. Solange die Wirkung nicht nachlässt :-)

Hi Dirk,I don't mind your comment about a good party, there were a lot of people who were thinking the same. But it showed me how important the content of a picture can be. To me a picture isn't about being beautifull; but it should tell you something. Altough estetic pictures can often be worth looking at.

Vielen Dank für deine kritische Anmerkung zu meinem Bild "Licht und Schatten". Hab sofort deinen Tipp ausprobiert, aber der Baum rechts im Bild ist viel zu mickrig um ein echter eyecatcher zu sein. Hóla Dirk,wie der Zufall es immer so will, just hatte ich mich abgemeldet und schaute noch einmal nach neuen Fotos .....
Die 80er habe ich aktiv mit Westernreiten verbracht und mein Traum ist schon Mexico.
So eine Fiesta mit Pferden und Mariachimusik, =:-))) <waaahhh !!!> bekomme schon bei dem Gedanken Gänsehaut ....
Fotografisch bin ich auf dem Weg, irgendwo, hinter Dir ...
Noch viel zu lernen, aber ist auch schön, zu wissen das es immer noch Neues zu erfahren gibt. Dabei freue ich mich über Begegnungen wie diese ...

hola Dirk,deine bilder finde ich einfach genial! ich komme selbst aus mexiko und finde deine mexikobilder sehr interessant, ich weiss ganz genau was du meinst wenn du diese bilder machst, was man fühlt wenn man sieht wie die menschen dort leben. man darf aber auch nicht sagen in mexiko leben alle unter armut, ich kenne viele leute hier in europa die nur solche bilder aus mexiko kennen und die haben nur dieses bild aus mexiko im kopf...ich weiss das ist die realität...man darf aber nicht vergessen mexiko ( wie ganz lateinamerika) ist ein entwicklungsland und das wird sich in den nächsten jahren auch nicht ändern. man muss aber ganz deutlich sagen, die menschen dort leben mit weniger manchmal viel glücklicher als menschen in hoch entwickelten länder...ich weiss nicht wieso...aber die vergessen nie was lächeln heisst...und bedeutet!

moin!was macht ihr denn in El Paso drei Jahre? *neugier*
wie ist Deine Entscheidung nun eigentlich ausgefallen, EOS 10D oder D100? interessiert mich mal. schwanke auch zwischen 300D und D100. was mich an der D100 stört ist, daß die nur aber 200 ASA aufwärts geht. Wieso haben die digitalen keine Empfindlichkeiten im Bereich 50 oder 25? Hast Du da vielleicht ne Ahnung?

hallo dirk,wie man sieht, hast du dich auf menschenfotografie spezialisiert. ein grosses thema. nicht sehr einfach, unattraktive ( will nicht sagen haessliche ) oder attraktive menschen interessant und mitten im leben darzustellen. fotos die nicht gestellt sind.
es sehr schwer umzusetzten. gelingt auch nicht jedem und immer, aber was du hier ausgestellt hast begeistert mich sehr. eine super umsetztung eines grossen und komlizierten thema's.
eine kritik muss ich noch los werden; warum hast du das profil dieses 17 jaehrigen jungen den du als missglueckt ausgestellt hast, wieder geloescht. war sehr entaeuscht das es nach einpaar tagen nicht mehr da war. es war einfach ein wunderbares bild. auch wenn du diesen jungen kennst und das bild ihn nicht so wiederspiegelt wie du ihn begegnet bist, hast du vieleicht bei einem witzbold die "inner schale " dargestellt.konnte damals aber noch keine anmerkung schreiben, da ich noch nicht in der fc war.
schade, war deine entscheidung und war richtig fuer dich.

Hallo Dirk,auch ich habe mir zum wiederholten Male Deine Bilder angesehen und freue mich über jedes neue Bild, dass Du einstellst. Zum einen mag ich den Ausdruck der Bilder bzw. der auf den Bildern dargestellten Menschen. Zum anderen finde ich es sehr gut, dass die Bilder nicht "gestellt" sind. Zwar setzten sich die Leute in Pose, aber es ist kein künstliches Arrangement, sondern eher ein kurzes Anhalten der Zeit und eine Momentaufnahme derselben.

hallo Dirk,vielen lieben dank für dein lob. :) das mit der schärfe .... die digicam die ich benutze, hat leider kaum funktionen, die ich manuell einstellen kann .... aber es ist das einzige was ich mir leisten kann :( ... bei besuch z.b. konnte ich die makrofunktion nicht benutzen, denn dafür war es schon zu dunkel, da im makromodus der blitz nicht funktioniert .... und im zoom aus freier hand .... nuja ...

So, das haste jetzt davon: nachdem ich mich durch Dein Portfolio gekämpft habe und mir das ein um's andere Mal ein hocherfreutes 'Was für Lutzi', nicht selten auch ein bewunderndes 'Hossa' über die Lippen kam (als Single spricht man ungewohnt oft mit sich selbst), bist Du nun bei meinen Buddies gelandet (keine Bange: sind nicht sooo viele).Sollte es mich je nach El Paso, Tx. verschlagen, rufe ich vorher an, damit Du mir eine Liege am Pool paar texanische Mädels (nicht zu viele bitte, ich bin nicht mehr der Jüngste und Hochleistungssport hab' ich vor knapp 10 Jahren aufgegeben) reservieren kannst :-)

Hallo Dirk!Kompliment. Deine USA-Fotos sind hervorragend, die Texte dazu mindestens genauso gut. Zusammen bieten sie einen perfekten Einblick, den man als Tourist nie bekommen würde. Meistens bin ich so sprachlos, dass ich gar nicht weiss, was ich schreiben soll. Deshalb hier ein allumfassendes Lob :-))

Hi Dirk,das mit dem Anfänger ist aber auch reichlich untertrieben, dafür sind die Ergebnisse einfach zu gut.

Nabend Dirk,danke für den Puzzleanzug! Jau, da merkt man, daß ich selber auch nicht beim Bund war!
Habe mich auf Deiner Seite mal heftig umgeschaut und viele tolle Bilder gefunden, von Deinen Selbstportraits bis zum Feierabend - einfach schöne und herrliche Aufnahmen!
Bei Dir scheint aber kein Anfänger durch, sondern jemand, der mit "offenen" Augen durchs Leben geht (und offener Blende)

nur falls du unsere anmerkung bei "the bridge" nicht gelesen hast, hier nochmals...mann, da hast du's vielleicht gut! 3 jahre amerika, ein traum! da hast du ja genügend zeit, um dir den genuss einer überquerung von "the bridge" zu fuss zu gönnen. aber denk daran, zieh bequeme schuhe an, denn der weg ist lang und mit dem taxi zurückfahren gilt nicht! wir wünschen dir und deiner jungen familie jetzt schon viel spass und vergiss nicht, uns fc mässig auf dem laufenden zu halten!

Hallo Dirk!Das ist nun mal so.Jeder hat "seine" Zeit.Darüber kann man aber älter werden,das ist das unangenehme daran.Bei Gelegenheit werden wir einmal persönlich Kontakten.Dann wirst Du Gelegenheit haben mehr von diesen Konzertfotos zu sehen.Im Moment bin ich ein wenig in Zeitdruck denn eine Band in Hamburg wartet auf mich und meine Hasselblad!Um 16.Uhr!!!

Hallo DirkAuch ich wünsche dir und deiner Frau alles Gute. Wenn du bald einmal für 3 Jahre in USA sein wirst, können wir uns hier bestimmt auf viele Bilder - nicht nur aus Touristensicht - freuen. Uebrigens: ich mag hübsche Kinderbilder, gerade weil sie in der fc nicht so oft vertreten sind.

Hab mich sehr über deine Anmerkung zu meinem Bild "Dejan II" gefreut. Euch, vorallem Deiner Frau, wünsche ich natürlich alles Gute für die bevorstehende Geburt am 22.06. und danach eine wunderschöne Zeit mit Eurem Sprössling. Eins kann ich Dir aber jetzt schon veraten...das Gefühl das erste Mal das Baby im Arm zu halten ist wirklich gigantisch und unbeschreiblich!

hallo dirk,das was du dir hier alles wünschst, wirst du sicher auch bekommen, denn ich sprech da aus erfahrung, bin auch nen fotokücken und hab hier schon viel gelernt. werde auf deine bilder meine meinung schreiben , so wie ich an deiner auch interessiert bin auf meine bilder , ich fotografiere vieles, immer wieder neue themen , an den ich mich versuche.
