BR-2A Reversing Ring.
Brad Waldera
08.11.05, 03:42
Brad,
I just sold such a reverse ring. It was to reverse mount my 50mm lens on the D70. Very tricky to use, lots of trial and error to get good results.
In my opinion a better bet for introduction to macro is a set of closeup filters. I had a set of Hoya +1,+2 and +4 filters for the 50mm lens. All the electronic fuctions of the camera and lens remained intact.
I sold these recently too, as I just wasn't doing any "macro" photography.
Both items are pretty inexpensive, if picked up 2nd hand you can normally re-sell for no loss if you get fed up with them, or move on to a dedicated macro lens.
Regards, Rob.

D50 owners, I could use some tips.
Brad Waldera
01.11.05, 17:56
I will give you a tip Brad. I am assuming that the D50 has many of the features of the D70. Check if it uses the ML-L3 remote control. If it does get one immediately. Great tool for eliminating camera shake and for doing self portraits, not that I do many myself. Cost is 17 British Pounds.

The red point means that it is anonymous. Might be your picture for the contest...

trigger finger on top or underneath?

Because of the angle that your wrist is put in, over the top offers more stability that below.
