I am new to photography but I've studied art (and music) for quite a few decades. Photography has always fascinated me. I started out digital, so i don't know much about pre-digital stuff. I've been using Photoshop since before it had layers!! I have worked as a graphic designer, calligrapher, artist, painter, etc. By profession, I am a musician.

Right now I am using an Olympus E-300 camera. Any body have any experience with these. I, being the total amateur that i am, love this camera. Perhaps because I've not had a better one.

Don't know much about the technical photography stuff yet, but I say ---- If it looks like art, and feels like art, and smells like art.................

Hey, all---
As a musician, I travel alot and work seven days a week!! When ever I get a chance, I come to this community for inspiration. I view, in awe, many of the wonderful photographers here. That's why I joined the sight. Well I finally got a chance to upload a few pics and hopefully will have more time to do so in the future. I am a beginning photographer, but have studied art and music for 40 yrs. Photography was to me, at first, instant art, all you had to do is compose. Well I've done plenty of that in both fields. hehe.

I admire the work I see here as well as the sense of community. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of it.

Hi charles, so sorry I did'nt get back to you sooner about about music "My other passion". You have obviously got a lot more experience than me teaching and playing for 40 years, wonderful.
I like classical guitar the piece of music on the stand is a Villa Lobos Masurka. My main enjoyment is modern jazz though I hasten to add I can not play it.
When are we going to see more of your pictures?
