Historical cannon forgotten and abandoned beeing slowly destroyed by Weather and Humans.
Cristoforo Colombo sunk once just at this spot on Anjos Bay in Santa Maria Island and built a church to thank for the rescue. The Atlantic Ocean here is really wild and not only Colombo had problems but also other navigators. This cannon is post Colombo but of course historical object together with some more of them lying there.
Problem is that is a privatly owned ground and no right authorities can intervene. We can see in the meantime is too late to do something.
