Born in a special place within the wild Carpathian mountains, my love for art photography began at the age of 6 when I tried to use for the first time my father’s camera, a Kiev 2A ,made in USSR. Many rolls I used untill I discovered the magic of photography, the unique feeling of pressing the shutter followed by the birth of an image on a blank piece of paper in the darkroom..and then it hit me…I can freeze time… …long story short, I’ve done a million digital shots since but every time I returned to film photography. I think the film has that special feeling that touches one’s soul, just like rock’n'roll, it never dies no matter how many generations will pass. All respects to my father who put a camera in my hands to see through a viewfinder, never stop watching the world since. This is just my way to see, different.

The camera doesn't make a bit of difference. All of them can record what you are seeing. But, you have to SEE.Ernst Haas
