HDRI & TM

This section is dedicated to High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) and Tone Mapping (TM).
HDRI allows photographers to capture a much greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image. Typically, this effect is achieved by combining a series of photographs with different exposure times into one HDR image.

The focus of this section is on works that explore the technical and artistic possibilities of HDRI and TM – from natural-looking enhancements of light and shadow to dramatic, surreal interpretations.

Please describe the procedure you used (exposures, merging, software, tone mapping) in your photo description, so that the community can understand the process behind the image.
